Parents who are concerned about dangers that lurk online can attend an in-depth Internet safety presentation by the Bergen County prosecutor’s Cyber Crimes Unit at Pascack Valley High School on March 20.

“Staying Safe in Cyberspace – Internet Safety for Parents” is a comprehensive examination of today’s Internet and the dangers that lurk inside chat rooms, instant messages, e-mail and blogs,” Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said.

“This is for parents only – no children,” he said.

The free presentation includes vivid graphics and streaming video clips that show “the seedier side of the Internet,” followed by a discussion of ways parents can protect their children – many of whom know more about the Internet than their parents – particularly when it comes to social media.

All area parents are welcome.

The event begins at 7 p.m. March 20 at PVHS, 200 Piermont Ave, Hillsdale.
